Last night around 1.00am, 3 scrotes jemmied their way into my garage.

Fortunately, the alarm I fitted at the weekend scared them off, and they left empty handed.

However, I then had to take the day off to repair the damage they'd caused. Not cheap, but at least I still have everything, for now.....

I'm pretty sure it was planned, as they entered the close by removing a neighbours fence panels, rather than coming down the road. Doubtless they planned to exit via the same route.

I reported it to the Police, who weren't really interested, as there were no injuries, and no losses. SOCO may call me in a couple of days, but it's up to them, and not me...

It seems that there's a fair bit of bike theft about at the moment, so maybe we should all take another look at security.

Unfortunately, I had other peoples losses to thank for spurring me into action.

Stay safe people.

I wonder if there is anyone that we can put pressure on?
We can moan at Dibble, but he's in exactly the same boat as the rest of us  Sad

I agree with you but to be fair to them, pro-active policing is a thing of the past. They're trying to fight a battle with their hands tied behind their backs. The criminals have more rights than the victims these days.

We've got the human rights brigade to thank for that....

Close shave indeed.  I expect you'll be increasing your security even more now?  We've been broken into at work three times in the last six months with another three failed attempts.  Still no sign of them being caught Sad

Just checked on the National Forum and Dibble has posted.

Apparently one gang has been caught but they were not working alone. So hopefully it won't be long before they catch the rest.

I'm afraid the cops couldn't catch a cold let alone anything else.
As well as uping security, you need to be vigilant about what information you are posting on here, Facebook and the like.
Chummy only needs a PC to find what he wants these days, there is no need to trawl the streets anymore.
Keep em peeled.  Wink

Someones got to say it so I will. Total strangers can turn up at rideouts, clock a bike and follow you home. Got to be some common link why so many HOC bikes are being nicked. Evil or Very Mad

It's not just HOC members.

Three blokes in a White van just drove into the car park of the company where a friend of mine works, got out, stuck a bike in the back and drove off. This happened at Moulton Park in broad daylight on Monday...

A fare comment but you could just as easily be followed home, clocked at work, or just out on a run and the bikes mentioned have not all been HOC members bikes, from what I have heard there have been a lot more going missing than we have heard about.  We are only going to hear of the few that have been taken from club members and their friends/colleagues.

As with Mark's post no where is safe.   Shocked   Sad
