Dan's surgery todayFor those who didn't know Dan had more surgery today on his knackered leg.
In addition to removing the bottom locking screws, repairing the herniated muscle to fracture site and shaving bone off his hip they have also removed the Titaniam nail which they inserted after the accident. Just spoke to him on the phone and he's in agony so going up to see him in a bit.
He's in Hinchingbrook Hospital but may be home tomorrow will keep you all informed.

Amendment to first post Dan has not had hip shaved or repaired muscle. Surgeon decided against that at the moment and opted to remove the Nail and screws although the broken head of one of them is still floating around somewhere in his leg. Reason for removing the Nail is that there is a chance that in the future Dan may need Hip and/or Knee replacement.
This has got to be worth mega insurance payout now.

Brought Dan home today, he's very sore and bruised. Having to keep an eye on his wounds as he keeps bleeding heavily, have redressed knee area 3 times already since 3pm.
Bad news though he can't ride a bike for about 10 weeks
