Guest speakerOn Wednesday 4th November we have Fiona Cole from Honda EU paying us a visit to answer your questions. Please email me your questions a.s.a.p so I can forward them to Fiona.
It would be good to have a full house that evening, let's show Honda what we can do.

Question 1. When are we going to see a new Wing? The current one is eight years old now.
Question 2. Why do Honda EU only ever import three of the available six colours each year?
Question 3. Why is one of the colours always red? They're nice colours, and I wouldn't knock them, but a bit more variety would be nice.

Questions for Fiona...Do Honda regret their decision not to be at the NEC this year?
Do they intend to be represented at the 2010 Bike Show?
Are there any plans to introduce a bike that's bigger than a 250 that's suitable to ride on a 'restricted' license?

Just a thought but would any our ladies like to bring some food for that evening? Some cakes and sandwiches and sausage rolls etc. Not too much but as usually when we have food we seem to have a full house of members.

Why does a New Wing with a 1800 cc engine need servicing every 4000 miles...No doubt it keeps the dealers happy in the service bay !!!! We have to do it for the warenty BUT is it yet just another way of earning from the CUSTOMER. !!! After all it claims to be the ultimate tourer...I have had mine serviced 5 times in just over a year. I do love it though !!!

Yes Fiona is coming tonight. I've done some vol-au-vents, sausage rolls and some filled rolls.

Who's bringing the vol-au-vents?

Unfortunately Jennie is unable to make it tonight due to a personal matter. Therefore there will be no cakes this week. The cakes will be next week with the Quiz and Chips.

Fair enough.
But can't she still send the cakes?
|
Vampira

I concur with my learned colleagues opinion.
Not much concrete information, but I didn't expect that, nevertheless a good insight into the Honda decision making process.
I've thought of a couple more questions, so can we get Fiona back?
|
Vampira

Yes Skipper, Fiona will be back early 2010 so get your thinking caps on.

I'm not sure that they're the sort of questions we should be asking
.....or that could just be me and my filthy mind

Not at all Stritch. You are right to be suspicious.
However, my enquiries are like why on earth do Honda put that diabolical Garmin satnav in the Wing when so much better is available. An entirely legitimate question in my view.
Gimli, on the other hand, already has a tape measure in his car, and is looking forward to the opportunity to confirm at least one of Fiona's claims.

OK, here's a serious question (lifted from another site)......
On a US GoldWing the valve system is "so good it doesnt even need checking untill 32,000miles".
So how come European bikes have to have it done at 16,000 miles?

Vampira

Good question Skip, will make a note of it for Fiona's return early in 2010
