Help & Advise pleaseHi All,
Having an issue with my Pan, it basically seems "jittery" on corners, especially right handers.
I thought perhaps it was tyre pressure but having checked today (had to buy a new foot pump, long story but involves teenage sons!!) the pressure on the front was only 1 PSI down and the back was about right. I had the bike on its center stand and tried to rotate the front wheel by hand. I would have expected it rotate freely and keep rotating however this didn't happen, there seemed to be resistance and the wheel didn't free-run after letting go.
Now I know I'm not experienced in mechanical things on a bike so maybe it's OK, but something "isn't quite right"
So my questions are.
Do you think I have a brake sticking problem?
If the answer is yes would anyone who has more experience than me be willing to come over and help me check it out.
I'm quite willing to have a go at anything, but when it comes to the brakes I sure as heck don't want to F I U and then find I don't have any brakes

Thanks to Dave who popped over this evening and showed me how to drop out the pads and make sure the calipers moved freely and clean the crap out.
A quick test ride has shown an improvment, will know for definate after run to work and back tomorrow

I have to clean the front calipers at least twice a year as the pistons are always getting cruddy.

Hi Alan
Having just spent the winter with mine in bits, the advice I would give is:
1) Get yourself a good workshop manual
2) Get your yourself some decent tools (try Hayway in Kettering)
3) Look around for advice on tinternet. There are loads of sites dedicated to pans.
Sorry I can't help much but the 1100 and the 1300 are different animals.
