Jim - back in hospital

Hi
Just to let you know (for those not on the Buzz), Jim is back in Northampton General Hospital.
He's currently in the Emergency Admissions Unit and should be moved to another ward later today.
Stritchy

Thanks for that.

Hope he's feeling better soon  Smile

I spoke to Jim yesterday as he was getting ready for the Ambulance to arrive.
He has Jaundice and was told by his GP he had to go straight into hospital to have a stent fitted, he doesn't know where.
He's still very chirpy and being his usual naughty self.

Pass on my best wishes to Jim whoever sees him next...My Poppie has made him a Picture - Think shes adopted him as her new grandad since the National Rally...    Smile

Has anyone got a contact number for him? could they pass it on to me..   Fankoooo!!

Went to see Jim this afternoon and he's in great spirits - being his normal naughty self!!!  Those poor nurses!

He sends his best wishes to all and says he's  sorry to be missing the club meets but will be back as soon as he can.

He asked me to let you all know how he is and if you want more detail then talk to me and I will fill you in.

He is still in the emergency assessment unit and will be having another scan tomorrow then hopefully be moved to a ward.

Visiting is 6pm - 7pm only but if you ring ahead I'm sure they will be flexible as they were today.

Just got home after visiting Jimbo. He's now on Creaton Ward and is in great spirits tormenting the nurses as usual. It brought back a few memories as Creaton was my ward when I worked at NGH. Poor old sod now has Gall Stones to add to his list. Jimhas got his mobile with him and is allowed to keep it switched on his number is 07703499401.
I'm going back up on Saturday and taking his lady friend June with me.

Just to update - Jim rang me this afternoon and left a message to say  that he is being transferred to Leicester either today or tomorrow.. will update when I know more.

Latest update on Jim. He is due to have surgery on Tuesday to put a stent near his Liver to clear the Jaunduce. Once that has cleared there is talk of transfering him the The Royal Infirmary in Leicester to commence Chemotherapy.  He sounds very down and would appreciate some of us calling or texting him. He's also very very fed up.

I have just spoken to Jim he thinks the op went ok today. He now has to wait for them to decide what next,he needs building up first before they keep him there or send him to Oxford for chemo. He sounded ok but fed up he asked me to tell everyone that he's ok.I only hope that it won't be too long before we see him again at the club.

Had a lovely chat with Jim on Tuesday evening... basically said same to me that he has to everyone else... he's pretty weak at the moment but said he was hoping they would transfer him to Oxford for his Chemo... felt that he was unlikely to go home after the chemo.  Sounded tired (as you might expect) .  He was intending to visit - he was on ward 27 at Leicester General then... not sure where he is now though but he did say he hasn't the strength to walk at the moment so am guessing he may still be in Leicester.

Does anyone else have any more news?
Vampira

Jim is home and in relatively good spirits. He needs to build himself up before he can have chemo which will be in Oxford but for now he wants a bit of peace and quiet as he's still very weak and tired. He's got his own private nurse June (otherwise known as his lady friend) pampering him.
