In an effort for motorcyclists to be more courtious to other road users ,I read in interesting ideas in a magasine yesterday. When overtaking cyclists going uphill in Germany its considered courtous to dip the clutch and coast by them. Is this a good idea, or over the top?
Would you have all your mates piling into the back of you?

Surely this puts the cyclist is more pysical danger as the motorcyclist increases his/her chances of losing control.

whilst I understand the sentiment as a percentage then surely the cars are putting more noxious fumes into the face of the cyclist? Wouldn't it be better to make it conpulsory for all cyclists to wear a facemask?

Also, and I just thought of this whilst typing, surely by the same context you should dip the clutch and coast when ever there is a motorcyclist behind you to stop them breathing in the fumes too ?

it's just too bizarre for words.
