Ride to BikeSafe London - Saturday 20th June

If anyone's interested in joining Ruth and me for a ride to Hendon http://bikesafe-london.co.uk/nationalbikesafeshow2009.html , we leave the Ten O'Clock in Little Harrowden, at 9am  Very Happy
Although we may be late as we have to pick up some bits from Pure Triumph before the run  Shocked

We'll be going via Olney on the A509, across the top of Milton Keynes, then down the A5 into Hendon.

Hope to see you  Cool
Phil Barberton

I will be there working so hope to see the new MR and Mrs there.
Very Happy  Laughing

Looks like we will be a bit late setting off as Pure Triumph don't open til 9am.

We're meeting with Stu and Jim at the petrol station on the A5/A4146 roundabout http://maps.google.com/maps?clien...F-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wl at 9.45ish

Sorry you can't make it Penfold, as it's a good show.
Alan D

Would have loved to have gone, but yet again a Bike safe comes up and I'm busy

Well maybe next time  (fingers crossed)

Just an idea Stritchy, but wouldn't it be better to meet at Pure Triumph rather than the 10 O'Clock as you'll almost be passing it on the way back anyway?

Unfortunately, because we've already advertised the run as starting at the pub, it'd be a problem changing it now. I wouldn't want someone turning up and we're not there  Sad

Shame you can't make it  Sad

It was a good show  Very Happy
It'll cost us a few grand tho  Shocked
Ruth loves the CBF1000 and wants one  Rolling Eyes

I thoroughly enjoyed Bikesafe . Jim and I didn't leave till  5pm.

I thoroughly enjoyed the white helmets motorcycle display team who are regular serving members of the army. When their display was finished received a standing ovation. Were highllight of the day for me.
I think Jim's was being handcuffed by female PC  ( which he enjoyed very much.

Once again Thank You to Stretchy for leading the rideout .

Sharon really wanted to go today.

Stu.

Thanks

Thanks to Ruth and Stritchy for guiding us safely down to Bike Safe in London. I certainly know now what my left hand is for!!!? It was our first ride in London town which concentrated the mind. But the show was good, not too crowded so able to talk to some of the exhibitors at length.

Fell in love with an Aprilia although it is totally impractical... I suppose.....?

Question - how did Jim ride home in handcuffs then?

PS. Not going to mention the grand prix.......
Alan D

I will .... the Grand Prix was fantastic

yeah the race was a bit boring, but the atomspere ... unbelievable ... you had to be there

Oh yeah, I was  Laughing

Thank you Nicola for the 2nd best Birthday present ever !!!
