Spring (almost) rideoutLast Saturday Sue & I were among hundreds of motorcylclists who felt that they had made the right decision about not SORNing their bikes over the winter. With temperatures in double figures, we set off in anticipation of a great ride and we were not disappointed. We headed for the Cotswolds which culminated with parking up at the Bridgefoot bike park at Stratford on Avon, along with lots of immaculate bikes, all enjoying a beer by the river. The noticeable thing about this ride-out was the sorry state of the roads, compared to a few weeks ago, brought about by the snow and ice. Mind you it was nice not to drive through salt and grit.
Sue was trying out a new after-market fly-screen which she thought gave her a further 10 mph comfort window. And I was trying out some new EBC brake pads which had more bite and feel.
We then had a little trundle down the quiet M45 and got home before the sunset.
PS Bumped into Mick today in the Harley Davidson show room in Uppingham and when I asked him what he was doing there, he assured me that he was only there because a friend of his was interested in a Harley - but I never did meet his "friend"...........!!??
