14 of us made the 300 mile round trip to Holmsley campsite in the New Forest including Jim last bank holiday weekend.
We found a great route down there I particually enjoyed the country road runing along the Avon between West Amesbury and Salisbury. brought back memoried from when I did it 45 years ago on my Frances Barnett.
We hired some bikes, played boule drank too much wine and generally had a good time. Jim got sun burnt. Sue was really enjoying her new Bridgestome Battlax tyres that i had just fitted she enjoyed them even more on the way home after we descovered i had put the front one on backwards the direction of rotation is not obvoius.
Again a great ride home to Walbury hill at Combe on the Ridgeway south of Hungerford was the highlight.
See you all soon
